Wayne Culmore To Be New BC Conference President

News September 20, 2011

On September 18, 2011, the Board of Directors of the Seventh-day Adventist Church (British Columbia Conference), unanimously elected Elder Wayne Culmore as our new Conference President. Elder Culmore will be replacing President Gordon Pifher who has accepted a position to the North Pacific Union to serve as Director of Stewardship, Leadership and Creative Ministries.

“Thank you for trusting us” says Culmore, “and by God’s grace and the prayers of God’s people, we will continue to press forward in spreading the gospel to the people in the vast territory that we serve.”

Elder Culmore’s denominational service began in 1974, his responsibilities included, Dean of  Men, Academy Principal, Pastoral Ministry as well as overseas mission work. Those of us who work closely with him know his passion is reclaiming former members and discipling new members. Elder Culmore has served as our BC Conference Ministerial Director and was our current Executive Secretary prior to this appointment.

The process for hiring a new Conference Secretary will start immediately.
