Excellence in Music for the glory of God’s name

News August 30, 2011

Among so many ‘exciting happenings’, we have to mention the outstanding quality of the musical program during this spiritual festival (Ontario Campmeeting). Among other contributors, the SDA Choral Ensemble of Greater Toronto, under the direction of Gennie Kimble, a well-known choir director and professor of music at Southern Adventiste University in Collegedale, Tennessee, played an essential role in creating an atmosphere of worship and reverence. The 80-voice choral ensemble presented a call to worship in a beautifully arranged piece of music. And then their special music entitled “Praise His Holy Name” brought us a little closer to heaven. In addition, the congregation had the privilege of singing hymns together with these experienced singers. We would like to thank Dr. Gennie Kimble for her excellent work. We were delighted to see such an ensemble of outstanding voices from the Toronto area. May all these talents contribute to the mission of God’s Remnant Church here in Ontario.
