Following 30 plus years of dedicated service to the church in Canada, Oliver Lofton-Brook, director of special projects and ministries, decided that it was time to retire. On June 16, the SDACC team along with Oliver and his wife Tasma, with family, friends and colleagues, spent a wonderful evening remembering significant moments in Oliver’s life and service for the church. His involvement in Education, ADRA, and the mission field, helped us focus on what is most important in a Christian’s life: love for God, family, and people, as well as a passion for sharing values and principles with the next generation. We will miss Oliver, his gentleness, and the firm strength of his convictions. To Oliver and Tasma, we wish them God’s guidance and protection during their retirement. (D.S.)
