Life Groups

The Abbotsford Seventh-day Adventist Church recently started Life Groups. Life Groups are micro-communities of people with like-minded interests. Together they support one another while discovering more about their interest. In line with the mission of our church, to make disciples, Life Groups foster a healthy place for people to grow no matter where they are in their journeys. In addition, Life Groups focus on cultivating strong community and create an atmosphere safe for both believers and non-believers.

From March 14 to April 4, every Wednesday, from 7 a.m. to 8:15 p.m., we offered three simultaneous Life Groups: Plant-Based Cooking, presented by Rebecca Stonecypher; How to Practice Emotional First Aid, presented by Sandra Dykstra; and Living in the Last Days, presented by Luc Sabot. A total of 130 people registered. Over 70 of those people were visitors from the community! Everybody enjoyed the valuable information learned in the classes and were invited to a follow-up evangelistic meeting, “Issues of the End Times,” by Ron Nelson.
