The officers of a mission field are not elected during its session. This was the case also for the Newfoundland field. However, we would like to present to you Elder Ken Corkum and Christine Bergen as the leaders of the Newfoundland and Labrador Mission. Our desire is to strongly support their ministry. After such an excellent spiritual and administrative event as we had in June, there could be a tendency to forget the day to day challenges and the necessity of all leaders to know that members, ministries, and institutions are regularly praying for their success. We know that their task will not always be easy. But we also know that the key to success rests in God’s hands. Thank you in advance for all you do to facilitate their mission. (D.S.)
