On Sunday, August 6, 2017, the Seventh-day Adventist Church, British Columbia Conference delegates met for the 58th General Meeting in Camp Hope, BC.
Elder Dan Jackson, NAD President, gave the devotional to start the meeting. Pastor Tom Glatts, the BC Conference Ministerial Director/Senior Pastor of the Abbotsford Adventist Church, offered a prayer.
A summary video was presented of what had been accomplished over the past 4 years within the British Columbia Conference. We had one newly organized church within the British Columba Conference, which was the Abundant Life Adventist Church, and the establishment of three Church Plants.
Mid-morning on Sunday it was voted to re-elect the current administration:
President: Pastor Wesley Torres
Vice President for Administration/Secretary: Pastor Ern Brake
Vice President for Finance/Treasurer: Jeff Klam
Also, the delegates voted to adopt the proposed changes on the BC Conference Bylaws. Elder Mark Johnson and Ulysses Guarin, SDACC President and Treasurer, respectively, concluded the meeting with Dedication prayers for the newly elected officers of the BC Conference.
