The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Canada (SDACC) joins citizens across the nation in honouring the lives of 16 individuals from the Humboldt Broncos, a junior hockey team from Saskatchewan. On April 6, the team was on their way to a playoff game in Nipawin, Saskatchewan when they were involved in a tragic accident with a tractor trailer. Since the accident, citizens across Canada have offered their support and prayers for everyone involved.
The SDACC extends our deepest condolences to the families of each friend. We encourage our members to continue to pray for the families, friends, and community of the Humboldt Broncos. We pray that they will find comfort as they go through this heartbreaking experience.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God” (2 Corinthians 1:3-5, NKJV).
